A CPM test counts how many times you can click in one minute. CPM stands for clicks per minute: the timer runs for 60 seconds from your first click, and the number of clicks you land in that minute is your CPM. Divide it by 60 and you get your average clicks per second (CPS) for the whole minute.

How the CPM test works

Choose 60 seconds for a true clicks-per-minute result, or 30 seconds for a shorter run. Click or tap inside the box; the clock starts on the first click, or when you press Start timer. While you click, the panel shows your count and the time left. When the time is up, you get your CPM, your average CPS, a split of how many clicks you landed in each 10-second block, and your best for this session.

Only the main (usually left) mouse button counts, along with taps on a touchscreen. If you are testing without a mouse, focus the box and press Space or Enter; holding a key down does not count extra presses. For right-button speed, use the right click CPS test instead.

How CPM is calculated

Test lengthCPMAverage CPS
60 secondsClicks in the minute (no maths needed)CPM ÷ 60
30 secondsClicks × 2 (projected to a minute)Clicks ÷ 30
Any CPS scoreCPS × 60—

So 330 clicks in 60 seconds is 330 CPM and 5.5 CPS. 165 clicks in 30 seconds also projects to 330 CPM, but treat that as an estimate: most people fade over a full minute, so a real 60-second run usually comes in lower than double a 30-second one.

CPM is not your 10-second CPS times 60. A 10-second score includes your opening burst; a full minute does not let you hold it. Multiplying a short-test CPS by 60 overstates what you would actually click in a minute.

What is a good CPM score?

The one adjudicated benchmark is the Guinness World Records title for most mouse clicks in one minute: 760 clicks, set by esports player Yiğit Arslan (Yigox) in Istanbul on 10 February 2026. That is an average of about 12.7 clicks per second, held for the full 60 seconds. The CPS world record page explains why far bigger numbers you may see online are not comparable.

For your own result, the test shows where your average CPS lands on the same tier scale the main click speed test uses, converted to clicks per minute below. These tiers are this site’s own labels, designed for shorter tests, so reaching the same tier over a full minute is harder.

Why your clicks per minute drop over the run

Look at the 10-second splits after a 60-second run. Almost everyone starts fast and settles into a lower rate as the forearm and finger tire. That is why a minute-long test measures endurance as much as speed, and why the splits are more useful than the single CPM number: an even row of splits means you paced well, a steep fall means you started too hard.

  • Pace, don’t sprint. Start at a rate you believe you can hold, then push in the last 15 seconds. Flat-out from the first click almost always gives a lower total.
  • Stay loose. Grip tension builds over a minute. Rest the hand on the mouse and keep the fingertip on the button.
  • Pick one technique. Jitter clicking is hard to sustain for 60 seconds; butterfly clicking spreads the work over two fingers. Switching mid-run usually costs more than it gains.
  • Warm up, then rest. Do a short run on the 10 second click test, then rest a minute before the full attempt.

If what you want is a sustained rate for an idle or clicker game rather than a score, the clicker speed test is built for that, and the click counter has a 60-second timer if you just need a tally with a per-minute rate.

FAQ

What does CPM mean in a click test?

CPM means clicks per minute: the number of clicks you register in 60 seconds. It is CPS multiplied by 60, so 6 clicks per second sustained for a minute is 360 CPM.

How many times can you click in a minute?

It depends on technique and stamina, which is exactly what this test measures. The Guinness World Records title for most mouse clicks in one minute is 760, set on 10 February 2026.

Is a 30-second CPM result accurate?

It is a projection: clicks in 30 seconds multiplied by two. Because most people slow down in the second half of a minute, a real 60-second run usually scores a little lower.

Does the CPM test work on a phone?

Yes. Taps count the same as clicks. Compare phone results with other phone results, since tapping and clicking a mouse switch are different movements.

Can I use the keyboard instead of a mouse?

Yes. Tab to the test box and press Space or Enter for each press. Holding the key down does not count extra presses, so the score stays a real press count.

Is my CPM score saved?

Your best for each duration is kept for this browser session only. Nothing is uploaded, and it clears when you close the tab.
